We have news. We are moving. If you’ve been following us for any length of time, this is not the first time you’ve seen a moving announcement from us. They come around like clockwork!
We live a cyclical kind of life with our work (mainly Dwight’s) determining our location every few years.
So where to next? Our next move will be back to the USA.
Specifically, we are moving to the National Capital Region. Oh, you haven’t heard it called that? What about the DMV? NOVA? those ones aren’t familiar to you either? how about Washington DC? See, we knew you’d understand!
This is the first time we will have lived in a community of more than 60,000 people since we were married 8 years ago. Indeed, while this is not the first time living in and around DC for Dwight, it will be the first time Anna will have lived in a metropolitan area of more than 300000. She isn’t sure whether city living will really be for her, but she’s willing to try it out. It is probably helpful to note that Anna did spend almost 8 years living in Canberra, Australia, which, like DC, is a planned city that serves as a national capital.
We are here in Germany for the next few months still, but there will be more moving (PCS) related content here. We are hoping to trace our move a little better than perhaps we have in the past. At this stage, our plan is to create a narrative style blog post to share some details of the PCS (Ramstein, Germany to Washington DC) experience this time around.
More: We have news…
With the help of an excellent realtor, we have already secured a new home in the Washington DC area – and yes, we absolutely know how crazy the market is there at present. In addition to good wishes, we’d love to hear your suggestions for ways to get connected with our new community.
